I have really been thinking about this topic lately - how Christians are bonding together through the fellowship of Christ. It's amazing to me that technology allows us to share out thoughts, prayer requests, and especially what the Lord has been saying to all of us across the internet. We can share information immediately- almost the instant it happens! Not a day goes by that I don't have several emails (the same one) from several different sources all across the nation. Unity comes through Jesus and the power and work He accomplished on the cross. The recent events in our world (especially the political scene) have prompted us to join together for a common cause of righteousness and holiness. 1 John 1:3 says, "We proclaim to you what we have seen and heard, so that you also may have fellowship with us. And our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son, Jesus Christ." When we are in Him, we have unity and fellowship through the body of Christ. I believe this is His desire and part of "preparing the bride" before His return (rapture). Jesus said:
"I'm praying
not only for
them But also
for those who
will believe in
Me Because of
them and their witness about Me. The goal is for all of
them to become one heart and mind— Just as you,
Father, are in Me and I in you, So they might be one heart
and mind with us. Then the world might believe that
You, in fact,
sent Me. The
same glory
you gave Me,
I gave them,
So they'll be
as unified and
together as We
are— I in them
and You in me.
Then they'll be
mature in this
oneness, And
give the godless
world evidence
That you've sent
Me and loved them
In the same way
you've loved Me."
John 17:20-22- The Message
