Doing the second leg of the trip back to Kansas City today. My husband and two more of my boys arrived around 2am to come to pick us up. they are sleeping now, but I was up bright and early! We will leave my sister Sharon's house sometime before lunch and head the rest of the way home.
I have not seen my children for almost a month! If you would have told me a few weeks ago that I would have to be apart from my children for a month, I would have said, "You're nuts...it's impossible." So today, I am thanking God for the strength to do whatever we are called on to do in life. As I just told a friend this morning, whatever can be shaken in this world WILL be shaken. The Lord's refining fire is upon all of us and we should appreciate the refining process.
For me, I have been away from my life for literally 40 DAYS (God's special number). It's been almost like a desert experience. Taken away from home, my husband, my kids, ministry and responsibilities...lost a mother and have to help Dad in finding a new "normal", plus his struggles with needing surgery, etc. - but I am SOOOO grateful for the journey and what the Lord has taught me. I am grateful for new beginnings and the hope of tomorrow. I am thankful for renewed and strengthened faith and growing in the Lord. Many things have been produced and the harvest WILL BE PLENTIFUL!
Blessings friends - see you on Monday.
