It's the Perfect Day!

7/7/07

I think we've hit one of the most popular days in our lifetime...7/7/07!   All of us are probably aware that "7" is God's number of perfection.  Numbers are very significant to God because everything He does is perfect and systematic.   What tickles me, however, is when people get so enamored with numbers that they lose the sight of God.  When He does something on a certain day or with a certain number, you can be sure it's that way for a reason.  Our efforts to assign specific numbers to things obtain favor from God is nuts! Yes, I am talking to Christians, mind you!   That gets into numerology where people look to numbers to predict a certain outcome.

I've heard several people declare... wouldn't it be nice if the Lord would come back on 7/7/07?   Yes, it would be nice to see the return of our Lord  (that would be nice ANY day), but I also know He's not sitting up in the heavens with our westernized calendar on His kitchen wall marking off the days until today.  His ways are not our ways, His thoughts are not our thoughts, and His timing is not our timing.   Besides, the Bible specifically tells us that no one will know the day!

It is a vision into human behaviors to see how people react to the number seven. Hey, even people who aren't Christians think of "7" as a "lucky number".  What is it that gets you to the jackpot on some slot machines.... triple 7's.
I guess that would mean that last year, everyone was running from 6/6/06 (except my in-laws who were married on June 6th and celebrated their anniversary that day!)
Aren't we funny people?

For some couples, they really are "hitting the jackpot" today, as today is a HUGE day for weddings!  Yippee!  Either you're in one,  attending a wedding, or at least know of a wedding that will take place today!  Am I right, folks?????

I just love weddings.  There are several that I am aware of, but I would like to send special congrats to Paul (the best man from our wedding) and his fiance who will wed this afternoon in Arkansas, Dave and Tracy (long time acquaintances of my husband and relatives to one of my daughter's best friends), and the one we'll be attending this afternoon... Travis and Amanda.
To all these couples, may God bless your families that are beginning today!!!!

So, no matter what you're doing today, I hope you have a perfect day... or as perfect as it can be.  Blessings to you!  See you Monday if not sooner!
