LEAPIN' Half-Birthdays, Kiddos!

What kid doesn't make a HUGE deal about their half birthday?  It seems to be especially important to older kids when that 1/2 of a year means they are "way-older" than just... whatever age they are.  Plus, they can officially say that they are ______ and a half!

Around here, my kids watch the calendar anxiously as their half birthday approach.  Two of the kids mark their halfway point in January, three in February, and one in September.  What's interesting is that all the kids in February:  Titus, Moses, and Shad... just happen to fall on "important" days of the month.  Titus' half is Washington's Birthday, Moses' half is Valentine's Day, and baby Shad's... LEAP DAY!   Oh, no!

BTW- Is Leap Year the reason it's the "Year of the Frog" (according to our local zoo)????

Our Aunt Marilyn has a birthday on Leap Day.  Most women wouldn't mind having fewer birthdays!  LOL  HAPPY BIRTHDAY, AUNT MARILYN!

The kids thought it was terrible that Shad had his half birthday on Leap Day... but at least it won’t be hard to forget.

So, in honor of MR. SIX MONTH OLD… here are today’s photos:

I consider it a great feat when I am able to get a "smile" picture because my digital camera is so slow!

Only one more half birthday to go!

HAVE A GREAT LEAP-DAY!

"The LORD is my strength and my shield;
       my heart trusts in him, and I am helped.
       My heart leaps for joy
       and I will give thanks to him in song."

Psalm 28:7 (NIV)
