Piano Moving

The Old Piano

Have you ever sold furniture or a vehicle?  Believe me, it can be quite an adventure.  The past few weeks, we have been trying to sell an extra piano that we've had, as well as our huge diesel truck.   We placed some ads in the local classifieds and a friend of ours (Michelle) also offered to post the items in the  in-company classifieds where she works.  Thanks to her, we received a call from a woman who wanted the piano.

There was no question that the woman was interested in the piano and wanted to have it.  The problem was how was she going to get it moved????  Well, it didn't help when she arrived to look at the piano that our huge white truck was sitting in the driveway.  She began telling us how she had priced piano movers... some costing in nearly $700!  Knowing my husband, I could tell where this was going to lead... and of course... we just got done loading the piano into our truck to take it to her.   He enlisted the help of a few friends from work and church and not only did they load up the old piano for delivery, but also moved up the Wurlitzer from the basement!  So, nothing like killing two birds with one stone.  And, just as if it were divinely ordered, the truck (which had been for sale for over a month) had a call on it from a very interested buyer.  He'll be looking at the truck in an hour or so.   Nothing like a good plan coming together.

By the way- thanks so much to Lance, Al, Bill, and Brett!  I'm sure God will bless you all in return.

I know when things don't move along as fast as we would like, we tend to question God and His plan.   He's so multifaceted that He can accomplish more than we can imagine in situations.  And once in awhile, we're lucky enough to notice!
