See You at the Pole

WEISS KIDS "SEE YOU AT THE POLE"

Yesterday, kids across the nation participated in the annual "See You at the Pole 2006".  Kids from our local church and ministry leadership (our youth pastor, a worship leader, and a Children's Church leader) participated in this event.  Kids like mine, who are home educated, can join up with their local Home School Group, go to City Hall, or simply meet at their own flag- which is what we normally do... to the curiosity of neighbors and those who pass by on the street!   I joke with my prayer buddies and tell them that we had 100% participation at our annual "See You at the Pole" event.  In the local public schools:  A friend of mine, who has a son that attends Pioneer Ridge Middle school here in the Kansas City area, said that they had a turn out of 26!  Another local school (Truman) had over 100!  Amazing.   That's great considering that the students have to arrive at school early for this event!  What kid wants to get up early?  Not many.   They gather together at the pole and pray for their school, the students, and faculty.  They pray for our communities.  They pray for their state.  They pray for the nation and our leaders.  Kudos go out today to all of you who participate in this annual event and other clubs such as "Youth Alive":  schools, students, teachers, and volunteers.  You are building the church of tomorrow and strengthening our communities.
