Morning Update on Mom - 11 EST - "Sabbath"

It has been confirmed from Sharon this morning that there still hasn't been any bleeding!

Praise the Lord, Praise the Lord, Praise the Lord!  His love endures forever and is faithful to all generations!

Mom is sitting up, looking a little better today (according to Sharon and Dad), but was not allowed to eat this morning.  They are planning on going ahead with the scope down her throat today sometime around 12 - 12:30 EST.   Once they get that done and results back, they may try to take out her catheter and get her up and moving.  She is still in the ICU and will more than likely remain there for several more days, even if her condition continues to improve.  She is still not out of the woods and is listed as Critical, but stable.

Dad and Sharon  know the Lord intervened last night and allowed them a bit of peace as all 3 of Moms doctors were on call and at the hospital:  Dr. Seess (heart doctor), Dr. S (the one performing the scopes), and Dr. C (the surgeon who would have done the bowel surgery if she needed it).  There have been so many times where we have seen God's hand move in all of this and we are so glad that He is such a devoted God!

As a side note, it was noted that Mom's blood pressure medicines were being given to her at twice the amount she was supposed to have. Even though Mom had brought in all her information about her meds, it was simply transcribed wrong.    That is the reason that her pressure dropped so dangerously low during the first hospital colonoscopy!   For reasons that I can only explain as God, MOM caught the problem and alerted the nurse that she was only supposed to be a 150mg, not 300 as they were giving her intravenously.    Thank you God for giving discernment!!!
Sharon has made sure now (talking to the doctor we call "Little Seese" this morning) that the correct dosage was put into all the charts.

Now her pressure is good, her blood count is good, her blood count is good, and they haven't even had to give her any more blood.   There are very positive and encouraging things happening today that are continuing to build our faith.  Of course, as cousin Jan revealed, God said "It is finished" in the very beginning of this ordeal.   Even though we can be swayed by appearances of outward "crisis", God is true... yea and amen!  He will do what he said.  He will be faithful to complete Mom's healing. That's a good reminder for all of us to keep our eyes on Him and not the storm  (as in the song I posted previously).

Please continue to pray that Mom will make it through this next test without any complications.  We are anxious to know the results.

A final, but very important note: We are declaring today as Mom's sabbath.  She is needing her rest, but so is Dad and Sharon.  We  are requesting that no one go and visit today.   There will be plenty of time for visits in the coming days and we need to force them to rest.  Right now, we all need to pray that her strength would be increased.  It's hard for her to get rest and in the ICU she is awakened very easily.  One good day of "less activity" for all will be a blessing of peace.  There are still several things going on, but we need God to work in this area.   Help us to stand on this verse today.  Please quote it when you pray for Mom:

"He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak."  Isaiah 40:29

I will update again as soon as I know anything.  God is moving and revealing His glory.  We can't express enough to all of you how much your contributions of prayer, love, and support has helped!

LOVE AND BLESSING TO ALL!
