Pete is feeling better each day, but still is remaining in bed most of the time. The wound seems to be looking smaller each time I change his bandage. Perhaps it's starting to heal together?? I don't know too much about large wounds like that. It will be interesting to see what the doctor says at his visit on Tuesday.
Today Pete will be talking to the office that handles the Workman's Comp for the Police. That's one silver lining to this cloud... Police Officers are very well taken care of when it comes to job related injuries. We are more than thankful for that.
BTW- If you missed yesterday's journal entry and are interested in the wound photos, scroll down to yesterday's entry. They are at the bottom.
On a different note, we went ahead with Celeste's birthday party last night. There were 7 girls here, plus her 3 younger brothers. They were ALL wound up and seemed to have a good time. It rained, which confined them to the house. We had a good dinner of subs, Sun Chips, and fresh fruit, and then finished our meal later with Ho-Ho Cake and Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream. Since I had been up since 2am... I was ready for bed and actually got a great night's rest.
This morning I have a doctor's appointment, so I will end here. Thanks for your continued prayers and we'll see you later, friends. Blessings!
